Crisis
in Venezuela, the story of how an alluring and well prospering country, which a
potential to be the richest country in the world, has become completely
bankrupt and surrounded by chaos.

As
a Spanish language enthusiast I'm not only interested in Spain, but also in
Spanish-speaking countries. The current situation of Venezuela has astonished
me.
The country is in an economic,
social and humanitarian crisis.
The range of its fall is difficult to compare with anything in recent history.
The economic crisis deepens itself with each and every day. Due to numerous
problems in the country, literally everything is missing. There is a shortage
of both food and money, furthermore the basic products do not reach consumers.
The hospitals are lacking basic medical resources and medications, the country
is in the state of famine and diseases and epidemics are multiplying. The
current president, Nicolas Maduro is
to blame for everything.
The
political situation is also tense and protests are often held on the streets. Citizens are fleeing from the nightmare.
According to data, over 3 million
inhabitants, roughly one tenth of the population, have left Venezuela in
the past few years. That number is still
increasing.
