An unusual discovery of Polish archaeologists in Peru

An unusual discovery of Polish archaeologists in Peru

Several years ago, Polish researchers made a sensational discovery in Peru. They came across an intact tomb of the pre-Columbian culture of Wari (600 - 1000 CE). In Andean archeology, this happens extremely rarely due to the ubiquitous gangs looting archaeological sites. In the ruins of the mausoleum discovered at the top of the hill, scientists unveiled the extremely rich burials of 58 female aristocrats, including one referred to as the queen.

Wari culture preceded the culture of the Incas. In the area a few centuries later, the Incas appeared and udes the Wari culture to create their empire. The stand at which the discovery was made suffered from groups of robbers who are engaged in the aearch for valuable objects. This practise has been going on since the Spanish colonized Peru, who were the first to look for valuable items on the tombs. Polish archaeologists were lucky that they found the tomb intact.

The scientist describes the burial chambers that archaeologists have found. He also explains how the dead were buried because they were buried in graves in a very specific way. With the queen, the scientists found the most unique objects. It was over a hundred objects, among which there were both jewelry made of stones, silver, gold decorated ceramic dishes a large number of items used for weaving. All the buried women dealt with weaving art.

For several years, analyzes of found skeletons and grave gifts continued, and it's a set of over 1,300 valuable items, including many of silver, gold and metal alloys and semi-precious stones.

The spanish cuisine was shaped through influences from many different regions. The ones that had the most influence were Arabic, English, French and Mexican. It doesn't posses a uniform way of preparing dishes, because each of the regions takes pride in its very own, spectacular dish. Differences are greatly influenced by the proximity of the Mediterranean sea, tradition or history connected with the region. It is a colorful cuisine, that uses an abundant amount of fruits and vegetables as well as fish and seafood. The richness of its flavor is due to the use of herbs. The Mediterranean climate has a positive effect on the cultivation of many vegetables and fruits, which, thanks to the presence of the Spanish sun, gain a unique taste. Spain is famous for its rich tradition of distinctive products, dried hams and the preparation of ...
