Loving Pablo, movie

Loving Pablo, movie

Loving Pablo, hating Escobar: New biographical drama about one of the largest drug barons has recently appeared on screens of Polish cinemas. The history of Pablo Escobar has long been a significant component of pop culture.

In the movie we will see Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem. Despite the good cast, the movie unfortunately saddened me. The film brings nothing new to a known biography. I had high hopes for the creators, believing that they would develop less-known threds or present  Escobar's history from a whole new point of view. This matter brought me nothing but disappointment. I also believe that the movie lost its charm and climate by introducing English dialogues.

The story of the relationship between the most powerful drug baron, Pablo Escobar and a Colombian anchorman, Virginia Valejo. Virginia Vallejo tells about Pablo Escobar in the book "Loving Pablo, Hating Escobar", on the basis of which Fernando León de Aranoa created the film. The TV star and Colombian drug baron got connected by an affair that lasted for few years. The journalist explains to the audience what the career and private life of the king of cocaine looked like.

Spanish cuisine

I love spanish cooking and the fact that its based on natural ingriedients. I love its astonishing aroma, colorfulness and most of all, its taste. The spanish cuisine was shaped through influences from many different regions. The ones that had the most influence were Arabic, English, French and Mexican. It doesn't posses a uniform way of preparing dishes, because each of the regions takes pride in its very own, spectacular dish. Differences are greatly influenced by the proximity of the Mediterranean sea, tradition or history connected with the region. It is a colorful cuisine, that uses an abundant amount of fruits and vegetables as well as fish and seafood. The richness of its flavor is due to the use of herbs. The Mediterranean climate has a positive effect on the cultivation of many vegetables and fruits, which, thanks to the presence of the Spanish sun, gain a unique taste. Spain is famous for its rich tradition of distinctive products, dried hams and the preparation of ...

Wine from Spain

Wine from Spain Have you ever noticed the name and the origin of the wine you drink? Did you know, that Spain is famous for wine production? Spain is the second oldest wine producing country in the Mediterranean area. Spain produces modern wines, such as fruit or grape, both of very high quality. The Spanish wines have a potential of aging and a combination of character and diversity that allows them to conquer the world market.  The most famous wine is, without a doubt, Rioja . This red and dry wine can come as young wine with fruit flavor (Tinto Joven) or as exquisite wine (Gran Reserva). The next liquor, enjoying high popularity is a fortified wine from Andalusia, known to the world as "Sherry" - this fine can be found as a dry one or as sweet one. The last one is Cava , a sparkling wine, that's made using traditional methods.    If you haven't ever tried a Spanish wine, I highly recommend that you do!
